The Twenty Year War: The USA VS Taliban in a Movie Clip

Who knew that Christopher Nolan was a prophet? Replace Bane with the Taliban and Batman as a washed up, rich America and you have a great analogy in film of the Afghan War over the last twenty years. If one were creative enough they could even add in the surge years where Batman fights back and tries to "adapt" to fighting...but the Taliban were born into it. You could have the guys watching as allied nations.  Bane even gets Batman's armory before breaking him, similar to the spoils of war the Taliban just received through their victory over imperial America.

As a multiple tour vet, including Afghanistan (2010-2011, Surge years) that was hard to write. But, unlike our leadership, we have to face our losses like men and examine ourselves. In this movie, Batman wins in the end. He gains back Gotham by getting back in shape and going underground. Can America's vets, or the heritage Americans rise to the challenge in our own nation? Will there be a fight or will America be invaded and overrun by the entire world without any resistance? Which will break first, our spirit or our body? That is a question only you can answer. Raptor 2, out.

  2. I remember almost 30 years ago researching the Soviet pull back from the tar baby, some warlord was quoted as saying " You have watches, but we have time" something that we obviously didn't understand, I was not thrilled about going to the "Graveyard of Empires" as a nation. The terrain and the weather is as much your enemy as the people. There was no legitimate reason to stay after Usama Bin Laden died in the Tora Bora region in 2003, except our and their rulers had a vested interest in keeping the ghost riding around to let them consolidate the power and protect the opium fields we sponsored.
